Comfort and longevity for furry friend

post-image

A multifunctional pet recovery station

Watching a dog with mobility issues is heartbreaking. Or seeing a dog too small to get up onto your bed or couch. My goal is to build a simple, adjustable ramp to reduce the struggles your pet faces and reduce joint pain. Combined with storage for toys, food and water station and a bed for comfort, I have your furry friend covered. Bonus pet cam to check on your bestie linked to a mobile app to chat to pet owners, find meetups, sitters and promotions. Looking for app developers to build the app and promote

What do you think?

Great idea Talia.

So many possibilities here. The bedside option is really clever. If it is easy to move you could also use it help pets get into the back of a car esp if the owner has trouble lifting their pet. You don't need a web / app developer. Try this, https://www.glideapps.com/

Looking forward to seeing this important project come to life.

Pets are serious companions to their owners.

I think the mobile app is such a good idea for pet owners and could become a really powerful platform. Having a feature for finding local pet sitters is such a cool idea and you could even look into creating a chatroom for pet owners to post their tips and advice for owning a pet, similar to a pet facebook!

Hi Talia,

What a wonderful idea! You've identified the key problems and pain points experienced by the user, which is the first step in designing a practical product that the user will find useful. You've done a great job labelling the different parts and features of your design, and I can see you've really thought through the process on how a dog will use the product. You could add to your design by creating another drawing where the dog is using the ramp, to clearly show how the product can be used, and adding some arrows would be useful to show the process! Great work overall! :)

Great concept and well thought out options.  Definitely worth exploring further.

Pets are part of the family so this will be well received by pet owners

What a fabulous idea and would love to see this on the market. Pets are a member of the family and anything to assist their aging and fragile joints is a fabulous idea. Well thought out design with so many functionalities. Best of luck

Hi Talia

Love this idea …. Dogs should feel equal even if they have an issue and this would be the right product to help them through it!

Good luck with it Talia

This would be perfect for our dog who has surgery on his leg and couldn’t jump up or down to the couch. What a fabulous idea and I wish you all the success in the world. If this hits the market it will be a sell out.

UpRising @ 2024.07.29 12:33 PM

Congratulations Talia you are nearly there.

If you could update the image on your Post to show a little collage of your projects development that would be fantastic. We will be awarding the top three UpRising design projects for 2024 and the UpRising alliance and community love to see the journey of your design.

There is a little feedback survey, if you could fill it in that would fantastic as it really helps us to understand how we can better help next years design students.

It also has an option for you to select if you would like to continue to be involved in UpRising next year and beyond. Lots of interesting ways to continue to build connections within the design industry. Great for your resume and career paths.

Wishing you all the best with your trials and finishing touches on your MDP.

Shout out if we can help in any way.
