Half of young Australians have a life-threatening condition (e.g., anaphylaxis and epilepsy). Therefore, there is a need for a wearable system/product that effectively communicates critical information to bystanders in an emergency. Medical jewellery currently on the market functionally meets this need; however, it's often chunky and unattractive. In response, I’m developing medical jewellery that’s modern and minimalistic yet still functional. To provide vital medical information, I am endeavouring to embed QR technology in the design. I’d value feedback on my design concept, connections with jewellery designers, and/or tips on producing handmade jewellery and using CAD/CAM technologies.
