Most recreational spaces or picnic areas offer limited seating options, let alone shelters/spaces that offer some privacy or have aesthetic appeal. They are often open, boxy and uninviting. To meet this need, I endeavour to develop a community space with a variety of seating/shelter options including ‘Social Park Pods’; modern, inviting, semi-private spaces. This concept will be applied to Apex Park, which is currently a large, grassed area with no shelters, seating or aesthetic appeal. I’m looking for any feedback, supporters who work in landscape architecture and/or suggestions for a software to develop models and renders of my vision.
