Snowboard Guard

post-image

I have developed a snowboard guard to protect the board from chip damage, a common, problem with snowboards. The increased durability of the steel edge, as well as added top sheet protection, this design was built with the main focus being that it was as unaffecting to the riders experience as possible, resulting in that same felling, with added protection to your board, a win win.

I have a vison for this product, hopefully expanding it to a wider range of consumer.

What do you think?

This sounds amazing Jack. Am I right in thinking that you have already made a prototype of the guard to protect the rails, or are you still in planning stage?

If you have built it already and tested it with snowboarders and they are saying that it doesn't effect their experiences, then congrats, that is fantastic.  I feel it would also reduce land fill. Great response to the issue of life Cycle analysis .

How can we help?

Nice idea, I'm always a fan of concepts that improve the life of products. Do you have any photos of your prototype?

Congratulations Jack you are nearly there.

If you could update the image on your Post show so it shows a little collage of your projects development that would be fantastic. We will be awarding the top three UpRising design projects for 2024 and the UpRising alliance and community love to see the journey of your design.

There is a little feedback survey, if you could fill it in that would fantastic as it really helps us to understand how we can better help next years design students.

It also has an option for you to select if you would like to continue to be involved in UpRising next year and beyond. Lots of interesting ways to continue to build connections within the design industry. Great for your resume and career paths.

Wishing you all the best with your trials and finishing touches on your MDP.

Shout out if we can help in any way.
