Supplement Storage System

post-image
My aim for this project is to design and construct an efficient and organized product that helps individuals and families store their supplements, medications and minerals in one spot reducing mess and ensuring that they don't lose their supplements. The majority of problems when it comes to storing supplements is the clutter and mess made. Some people need to store their medication in a secure space and some need to keep them in a spot where they will remember to take them. This product will have multiple compartments that can hold both pills and powdered-form supplements.

What do you think?

Hi COOP A, have you thought about what will happen to your product at the end of its useful life? Check out this great article by Black Lab https://blacklab.design/how-to-sustainable-design/ and let me know if you have any questions about designing out waste and pollution, keeping resources in use for as long as possible and at their highest value, and regenerating natural systems. These are the three principles of the circular economy. Cheers, Chelsea from Circular Economy Pioneers

I enjoy the idea of separate storage for the supplements, as it will be crucial for people to determine which supplements they need in the morning or evening. I do have a few questions about the design. What are the sizing/dimensions of the image displayed? Also, would the design be dishwasher safe or would it be required to be cleaned manually?

This is a great idea to have everything stored in the one place. I would suggest this to be made of a sustainable material, such as a durable cardboard. A small transportation option could also be helpful to keep everything together in luggage.

Coop A, this is a really intriguing project that could present a great opportunity for pharmacies to include with take-home medication. I'm curious as to how the design keeps the contents sterile and protected from dirt and dust. Does the deposit slot have a lid? Does the dispenser close up?

Congratulations Coop on your fantastic efforts with your MDP, it has been great to be part of your design journey this year. We would love to see an image of what your design looks like, if you get a chance to add a final picture of your project.

Good luck with the submission of your project and adding any finishing touches, I am sure you will do great. We hope that you have learned a lot from being part of this year's UpRising and are excited to take your creativity and design thinking into the next steps in life, (which is exactly what business and industry are looking for.) Teachers, thank you for helping your students make the leap across the gap, from classroom to industry. Business leaders, likewise it has been fantastic to connect with you, thank you for all of the support you have given to these young designers and helping to grow the innovation ecosystem in NSW. Breaking down the silos, together.

If you could complete this quick survey that would be greatly appreciated, teachers and business/community also welcome to fill in and provide valuable feedback.

Thank you.
