Here is my final design! I ended up creating based lights made of mulberry rice paper (100% biodegradable) and the base is made of bamboo plywood (highly sustainable). To change the light colours and add an element of customisation, I created coloured acrylic disks to place over the light source. In addition, at the end of its life cycle the design can be planted to biodegrade and the light and base itself can be built for disassembly.
