Wow, a fantastic concept Poppy
So many interesting elements and complexities with this project. Have you got many contacts with First Nations people that can help you with this, either locally or from Countries from the Northern Territory?
What are three things that we can help with?
So looking forward to seeing how your project evolves and connections you make along the way.

Fantastic idea Poppy. Can't wait to see what you decide on for the final product.
I love this idea, you are so talented! Can't wait to see you execute this.
This is a magnificent idea. You are so talented. Wow!
Hi UpRising, thank you for your reply!
So far I have been in touch with Jajumbora 'Birthing in Our Community Hub', a team of midwives who specialise in pre and postnatal care for First Nations women. They have been very helpful in confirming the need for an innovation of this sort, relaying personal insights into the needs and requests that pregnant First Nations mothers commonly expressed. However, communication with Indigenous mothers (the people who would be receiving this product) is my biggest priority, so any further engagement with First Nation people would be very helpful. In addition to the above, I would love support with potentially developing bio-fabrics to create the mat. This is very important to my project as it will allow for the incorporation of Country, however it is proving to be difficult. Any help with this aspect would be greatly appreciated. As well as that, any contacts with hospitals that have midwifery or birthing facilities would be great in order to inquire about the use of birthing mats.
Thank you again for your support!
