A
collection of adaptive clothing for children with disabilities or temporary
impairments, designed to foster independence. Inspired by my struggle getting
dressed when I injured my ACL. This struggle meant a lot of independence was
stripped away, independence is essential for children to develop and mature.
Using magnets, children are empowered to become self-sufficient when changing,
boosting confidence and fostering a sense of inclusion. It supports their
development by combining functionality with innovation to enhance their quality
of life. The purpose is to create a practical and empowering solution that
strengthens independence and emotional growth for children facing physical
challenges.
Millions of drum kits produced yearly end up in landfills, unrecyclable and non-biodegradable. As the materials are difficult to seperate the whole kit ends up in landfill causing environmental destruction. This unsustainable cycle needs to change.I have designed a mycelium and bamboo drum kit, as a sustainable solution. Designed for disassembly, each component can be individually recycled, ensuring a cradle-to-cradle solution. These eco-friendly materials also reduce costs and benefit the environment, both during manufacturing and at the end of the products life.Exploded view (model)https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ja9DqRmvqtHzf8NLE-wDn1kTohVXFFr1/view?usp=sharing
The
purpose is to create a uniform that you can customized to suit the
students style as this is benefits students as expression of individuality.
Another element that I am including is having different elements of the school
uniform adjustable e.g. blazers. This has purpose as blazer for HVGS retails
for $200 this is not affordable for some and by making it adjustable students
can wear the same blazer through 7-12. this also create less waste which means
that it will be more ecofriendly.
I am designing a light installation made from purely unusable and upcycled bike parts, to advertise a specific organisation who take in and donate old bikes to people in need. This will capture the attention of members of the public through bright lights and shadows, advising them of what they can do with their old bikes, as well as how they can help individuals in poorer communities. This aims to reduce the environmental impact of unusable bike parts and old bikes in landfill. I am seeking guidance into advertising a specific organisation through an art installation rather than using words.
I am developing an electronic learner and provisional driving plate system that integrates a lighting solution into a car’s existing electrics. This system allows drivers to control the plates from inside the vehicle, eliminating the need for manual removal. When not in use, the screens turn black, reducing reliance on plastic or magnetic plates. This innovation simplifies daily driving while promoting sustainability by reducing plastic waste and pollution caused by lost or damaged driving plates. I am seeking guidance on coding the lighting system, recommended software for development, and best practices for integrating the system into a vehicle’s electrical setup.
For
my MDP, I have decided to explore the challenge of storing new structural
helmets (Gallet F1 FX) on the RFS fire truck. At present, there is no secure
storage option for the helmets, and their current location poses a safety risk
to both the crew and the vehicle. I aim to develop a viable storage solution
that ensures the helmets are safely accommodated within the fire truck.
